What does Altis Global do?
We are an engineering and construction company in Mogadishu. We work across architectural and structural design, urban and master planning, construction on site, MEP and energy systems, facades and steel structures, elevators, smart building technology, and procurement. That can be one package or the whole build, in Somalia and beyond it.
Can we hire you for one part rather than the whole project?
Yes, and often that is how it starts. A facade package, the MEP, the lifts, the steel, supervision on a site someone else is building, or just the procurement. Take what you need.
Can you come in on a project that has already started?
Yes. Supervision on a site someone else is building is ordinary work, and so is a second opinion on a scheme already running. You do not have to start with us to work with us.
Do you use your own people on site?
Yes. Our own people run the site, with tower cranes and hoists, programme control, and quality and safety held together as one responsibility. You get a single point of contact and a clear view of where the project stands.
Who is accountable if something goes wrong?
One team, throughout. Every discipline sits under one roof, so there is no gap between the drawing and the build to argue about, and one number to call when something changes.
Do you handle procurement on its own?
Yes. Plant, materials and equipment, sourced and bought on your side of the table, with value engineering to reach the same result for less. You do not need to have hired us for anything else.
What languages do you work in?
Somali, Arabic, Turkish, Hindi, Urdu and English. On a project where the client, the consultant and the supplier do not share a first language, that removes a layer of translation from every decision, and it lets us deal with suppliers directly.
How does a project start?
